It has been a week since the end of rush week and the brothers of Pi Kappa Phi would like to announce that we rushed 8 men of class.

It was a long week full of events, meetings, cleaning, and fun. We got to know many good guys, we extended 18 bids but only 8 accepted. Although only 8 accepted, this Spring rush has been a great success: it is the biggest spring class that we have had in years, it is the biggest class on the quad (the second biggest is 6 and the rest of the quad had 4), it makes our chapter to be one of the biggest houses on the quad: 50 members.

Fall rush is almost ready to go, rush chairs are having a meeting next week where I am going to try to move fall rush back to one week.

My committee and I are working on the last details for fall Rush:

Frank Woodward is working on having the chapter practice the “Elevator Pitch” at every house meeting, Shaffer is working on the "Dude List", Haywood is in charge of  marketing and Di Vittorio and Hetzel are working on the Pi Kapp Scholarship for new freshmen and sophomore students.

My goal for fall rush is to have 30-35 guys. We can do it because we are the best, WE ARE PI KAPPS.

Now, these are the eight new guys who accepted the bid and decided to enter the brotherhood:

Edward Glantsman, Chicago, Material Science and Engineering

Steve Kurinec, Mt. Prospect, Mechanical Engineering

Loc Le, New York, Physics

Jack Miao, Beijing (China), Electrical Engineering

Greg Quella, Wisconsin, Physics Pre-Med

Kevin Richardsen ll, Wheeling, Chemical Engineering

Ton Trieu, Vietnam, Chemical Engineering

Frankie Wong, Hawaii, Electrical Engineering

WELCOME GUYS, I HOPE YOU ENJOY THE HOUSE.
